Book a TableCall (02) 9144 6662

Our takeaway menu isn’t a reduced list of “takeaway-friendly” dishes. It’s the full Jai Ho dinner menu — every starter, every curry, every biryani, every bread — packaged for pickup or delivery. Browse below, then order direct from our website. Call (02) 9144 6662 for phone orders.

What’s on the Takeaway Menu

Everything. Our takeaway menu is the same as our dine-in menu — same dishes, same prices, same quality. Tandoor-grilled starters including chicken tikka, seekh kebab, paneer tikka, and our popular mixed entree platter. All of our signature curries — butter chicken, lamb rogan josh, goat curry, prawn masala, chicken korma, beef vindaloo, and more. Vegetarian mains including dal makhani, palak paneer, chana masala, and malai kofta. Biryani cooked in the traditional dum style with chicken, lamb, prawn, or vegetables. Freshly baked naan and breads — garlic, Peshawari, cheese, keema, and plain. Sides including raita, pickle, mango chutney, and papadum. And drinks including our popular mango lassi and masala chai.

How to Order Takeaway

The fastest way is through our online ordering system. Browse the menu, add items to your cart, and pay online. Your order goes straight to our kitchen and is prepared fresh. You can also call us on (02) 9144 6662 to place your order over the phone — our team will take your order and let you know when it’ll be ready. Pickup is from our restaurant at 1257 Pacific Highway, Turramurra. Most orders are ready within 20–30 minutes. For larger orders or busy periods (Friday and Saturday evenings), allow a little extra time.

Popular Takeaway Orders

Our most frequently ordered takeaway dishes include butter chicken (our number one by a wide margin), lamb rogan josh, chicken biryani, garlic naan, and dal makhani. For a couple, we’d suggest one curry, one bread, and rice — add a starter if you’re hungry. For a family of four, two curries (one mild, one medium), a biryani, three naan, and a starter platter is a crowd-pleasing combination. Vegetarian regulars swear by our palak paneer and chana masala with tandoori roti. If you’re ordering for the first time and want to try a bit of everything, the tandoori mixed grill is a great starting point — it gives you chicken tikka, seekh kebab, lamb cutlet, and tandoori chicken in one plate.

Packed to Travel

We pack every takeaway order with care to maintain quality during transport. Curries go in sealed containers that won’t leak — you can put the bag in your car without worrying about your upholstery. Naan and breads are wrapped in foil to stay warm and soft. Rice is packaged separately so it stays fluffy and doesn’t absorb curry sauce during the drive home. Starters like samosas and tikka pieces are packed to maintain their texture. Each container is clearly labelled with the dish name. It’s the same care and attention we put into our dine-in presentation, just adapted for takeaway. Our regulars tell us the food tastes just as good at home as it does in the restaurant.

Takeaway Hours and Pickup Details

Takeaway is available during all our opening hours — dinner Monday to Sunday from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM, and lunch Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Last orders are accepted 30 minutes before closing. Pickup is from 1257 Pacific Highway, Turramurra — there’s free street parking on surrounding streets, so you can usually park within a short walk. If you’re ordering for delivery instead of pickup, visit our online ordering page and select delivery at checkout. We deliver to Turramurra and surrounding North Shore suburbs.

Tips for the Best Takeaway Experience

Timing matters. If you're ordering for a specific dinner time, place your order 30–40 minutes before you want to eat. On Friday and Saturday evenings, our kitchen is at its busiest, so allow an extra 10–15 minutes. For the best results, serve your takeaway food as soon as you get home. Transfer curries to your own bowls if you prefer, but our containers are designed to go straight to the table. Naan is best eaten within 20 minutes of collection — if it's cooled slightly, 30 seconds in a microwave or a minute on a hot pan brings it back to life. If you're ordering for a group, tell us when you place the order and we'll pack everything with the right serving quantities and label each dish clearly. Leftovers from Jai Ho keep well in the fridge for 2–3 days and reheat beautifully — some of our regulars say the lamb rogan josh is even better the next day.
