Indian Party Catering in Turramurra — Food Your Guests Will Actually Remember
A good party needs good food — the kind that people crowd around and keep going back to. Jai Ho’s party catering in Turramurra gives you an authentic Indian spread that works for every kind of gathering: house parties, birthday celebrations, engagement dinners, family reunions, and everything in between. All freshly prepared and packaged for easy pickup.
Parties We Cater For
Birthday parties at home where you want to focus on the celebration, not the cooking. Engagement celebrations and milestone events that deserve food people will actually talk about. Housewarming parties where you want to impress the neighbours and set the tone for the new place. Family gatherings and reunion dinners where the table needs to be big enough and the food needs to be good enough for everyone from grandma to the teenagers. Kids’ parties where the adults eat well too — because you deserve proper food while the kids demolish the butter chicken and naan. Whatever you’re celebrating, we’ll put together a spread that fits your group, your venue, and your budget.
What to Order
The beauty of Indian food for a party is that it’s naturally designed for sharing. A few key curries, some rice, a stack of naan, and a couple of starters is all you need to create a spread that looks and tastes impressive. For a party of 15–20, we’d typically suggest 3–4 curries (a mix of chicken, lamb, and vegetarian), a biryani, garlic and plain naan, rice, and a starter platter. For larger groups, we scale up the quantities and add more variety. We’ll advise on exactly what to order and how much — just tell us your headcount and we’ll put together a recommendation. Our most popular party dishes include butter chicken, lamb rogan josh, chana masala, chicken biryani, and tandoori starters.
Ordering Party Catering
Call us on (02) 9144 6662 or use our enquiry form with your guest count, date, and what you’re celebrating. We’ll recommend dishes and quantities and provide a quote. Everything is freshly cooked on the day and packed in foil trays and sealed containers designed for transport — no spillage, no mess. Pick it up from our Turramurra kitchen at 1257 Pacific Highway and set it out at your venue. Each dish is labelled. We recommend picking up 15–20 minutes before serving time so everything arrives hot. No minimum order — we’re happy to cater for intimate gatherings of 8 or big celebrations of 50+.
Dietary Requirements
Indian food is naturally good at catering for different diets, and we make it easy. Our menu includes plenty of vegetarian options — dal makhani, palak paneer, paneer butter masala, malai kofta, and more. Vegan guests are covered with chana masala, aloo gobi, baingan bharta, and vegetable biryani. Most of our curries and rice dishes are naturally gluten-free. We clearly label every dish in your catering order so guests can help themselves with confidence. No one at your party should have to ask awkward questions about what they can and can’t eat.
Why Choose Jai Ho
Real restaurant food, not catering-company shortcuts. The same recipes, the same ingredients, and the same kitchen team that serves our dine-in guests every night. A range of dishes that works for all diets and tastes, from the adventurous eater to the person who just wants a mild korma and some naan. Food that travels well — our curries, biryanis, and breads are designed to hold heat and taste just as good at your venue as they do in our restaurant. And a team that’s been feeding North Shore families for 15 years and knows how to get the quantities and the timing right. Visit our Catering page for more details.
Serving Tips for Your Party
Indian food works best served buffet-style at parties. Set out your trays on a table with the curries in the centre, rice and bread on either side, and starters at the beginning of the line. Our foil trays keep food warm for around 30 minutes after collection — for longer events, you can transfer the food to your own serving dishes and keep them warm with tea-light warmers or in a low oven. We label every dish clearly, including dietary information, so guests can serve themselves with confidence. If you're hosting outdoors, keep the food in a shaded area and consider timing your collection closer to serving time. For parties of 20+, having two serving stations helps avoid long queues. Don't forget the naan — people always underestimate how much bread a group will eat. As a rule of thumb, order 1.5 naan per person. Our raita and mango chutney make great accompaniments alongside the main dishes.
